Admissions and Registration

Picture
Welcome to Bethlehem Children's Center! We thank you for choosing us for your child's early learning experiences. Bethlehem Children's Center serves children four months through transitional kindergarten. You have the option to choose between full time childcare or part time 2, 3, 4 or 5 day programs. Bethlehem is open from 7:30 am to 5:30 pm Monday through Friday. We base class placement for each of our programs on the developmental needs of the individual child as well as birth date. To register or to be placed on our waiting list please call 538-2266 or email us a waiting list application form. A tour is usually given and paperwork is provided at that time. A registration fee will secure your child’s placement. Money will only be accepted if there is an available spot.

Financial Policy Statement

Registration & Tuition  An annual $100.00 non-refundable registration fee is due in advance of attendance; along with an annual non-refundable $250.00 fundraising fee. If your child withdraws for longer than two weeks, a re-registration fee of $100.00 will secure his/her spot. The monthly payment is the same regardless of the number of reserved days used.  There is no provision for trading reserved days for extra days for part time children. After the first child, additional children's fees are at a 10% discount, the child with the higher tuition rate is considered to be the first child. BLC members are given a 10% discount for each child.

Reserved Time & Guidelines

As we have openings we register children for reserved time with basic guidelines:
  • Minimum days per week - 2   Minimum hours per day - 3 (Our infant room has a minimum of 4 hours per day)
  • Every preschool child must be registered for a complete preschool session each reserved day.  (9:00-12:00)
  • Out of courtesy for nappers, Pandas should not be picked up between 12:00 and 2:00

Withdrawal & Dismissal

All payments are non-refundable. A written 30 day notice is required for withdrawal or dismissal of a child.

Extra Care

Regularly scheduled children's hours may be extended before and beyond the reserved time at $12.00 per hour when requested in advance.  Place your payment for any extra hours in one of the black tuition mailboxes.

Late Pick-up Policy

After 5:30 PM, each five minute increment will be $5.00 per child. You will be billed and the money will go directly to the closing staff. Remember that's $1.00 per minute, per child!

Late Payment Policy

Monthly or bimonthly payments are prepaid on the 1st and/or 15th of each month.  If a payment is not received by the 5th or 20th of any month, a $10.00 late fee will be added. If an account is seven days in arrears, the child is liable for dismissal.  A $25.00 fee will be charged for returned checks.

Center Closures & Holidays

Since our monthly rates are averaged to include holidays and in-service days, there are no discount or make-up days for closings. Those days we are closed include: New Year's Day, Martin Luther King Day, Presidents  Days, Good Friday, Memorial Day, Teacher work day before the start of the summer session, Independence Day, Teacher In-service Days  (two school days in August), Labor Day, Veterans Day, Wed. before Thanksgiving, Thanksgiving Day and the day following, and Christmas Eve Day, Christmas Day and the days between Christmas Eve and New Year's Day. Two days in October, and one day in the spring are also teacher in-service days. If a holiday falls on a weekend, a Friday or Monday will be observed and posted for your information. A yearly calendar is given to families in August at the start of each new school year.

Tours

Tours of the Center may be scheduled by phone at 538-2266 or send us email from our Contact Us page. If you drop in, there may be no one available to show you around.  A good time to tour is somewhere between 9:45 and 10:30. Bringing your child is optional.

Immunizations

Every child must have had a physical examination within the last six months.  A doctor, assistant, or nurse practitioner must sign and date the appropriate form.  All immunizations must be current and recorded on State forms that are provided by the Center. Immunization updates need to be reported to the office to keep files current. Children will not be admitted without up-to-date immunizations records.
